Truss Bridge Climbing

This activity will take place in Orient, OH (south side of Columbus) on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 beginning at 6:30 pm.

Students, with the assistance of Burgess & Niple's Bridge Inspection group, will learn and use rock climbing techniques to climb a 20-foot truss bridge and repel over the side. We will also discuss the need to inspect bridges and what to look for.

Please arrive at the bridge no later than 6:30 pm and be prepared to get dirty. We should conclude by 8:00 pm. Also, RSVP to Brian Moore (614.459.2050) no later than Friday, May 5, 2006 if you plan on attending. Directions to the site will be provided at that time.
